The debt must be paid

As the Scavenger of the Underworld, Actaeon “Ace” Demos has built an empire making other people’s sins disappear. Ruthless, calculating, and notoriously indifferent, there’s little in this world he wants and even less he cares about. Except for the mystery that has haunted him for twenty-two years. And the key to finally getting answers might be the ghost of his past who has stumbled back into his life.

A dedicated case worker with a carefully ordered life, Evelyn Ambrose has spent a decade putting as much distance as possible between herself and the mess of the girl she used to be. She’s built a life far from the nightmares she escaped, but there’s one thing she can’t outrun: the debt she owes the dangerous man who helped her when she needed it most.

Now, Ace is ready to collect.

It should be simple. A quick transaction.

But Ace has never been particularly good at leaving a mess untouched. And he’s determined to unearth all of Evelyn’s secrets, especially the ones she’s hiding from herself.
